In a thrilling match of IPL 2023, Mumbai Indians registered their first win of the season by defeating Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets. After winning the toss, Mumbai chose to bowl first and restricted Delhi to a total of 172 runs in 19.4 overs. David Warner and Akshar Patel scored half-centuries for Delhi, while Piyush Chawla and Jason Behrendorff took 3 wickets each for Mumbai.
In response, Mumbai Indians chased down the target of 173 runs in 20 overs with 4 wickets to spare. Rohit Sharma led the way with a brilliant knock of 65 runs off 45 balls, including 6 fours and 4 sixes. Tilak Verma also contributed with 41 runs off 29 balls, hitting 4 sixes.
