Ravichandran Ashwin : The third match of the current Test series between India and England is being played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot. Both the teams are currently tied at 1-1 in the five-Test series.

In this third match, both the teams are giving fierce competition to each other. In this match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. In which Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja broke many records while playing century innings.

The Indian team has suffered a big setback on the second day of the third Test match being played between India and England.

After the end of the second day of the match, Indian cricket team’s experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin suddenly withdrew from the match due to a family medical emergency. He bowled brilliantly in this match and also took one wicket.

BCCI gave information regarding Ravichandran Ashwin

Giving an update late on Friday night, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that “Ravichandran Ashwin has withdrawn from the Test team with immediate effect due to a family medical emergency. The Indian Cricket Board and the team fully support Ashwin in this challenging time.

BCCI further said that “BCCI extends its heartfelt support to the champion cricketer and his family. The health and well-being of players and their loved ones is of utmost importance. The Board requests that the privacy of Ashwin and his family be respected as they go through this challenging time.”

Left test match due to mother’s ill health

BCCI Vice President Rajiv Shukla has said that Ashwin’s mother is not well and in case of emergency he will have to go to Chennai, hence Ashwin is leaving the Rajkot Test match midway. He also wished for the speedy recovery of Ashwin’s mother.

The BCCI Vice President did not give much information about what happened to Ashwin’s mother. He tweeted and wrote, “I wish for the speedy recovery of Ashwin’s mother. He had to leave Rajkot Test and go to Chennai to live with his mother.”

Ravichandran Ashwin made a record in Rajkot test

On the second day of the third Test match being played in Rajkot, Ravichandran Ashwin completed 500 wickets in his Test career by taking the wicket of Jack Crawley. He has become the second Indian and ninth player in the world to reach this milestone.

In this matter he has left Anil Kumble behind. Ashwin took his 500th wicket in his 98th Test match, while Kumble took his 500th wicket in his 105th Test match.
