IND vs ENG : Sarfaraz Khan, who has been performing brilliantly in domestic cricket for the last few years to make his place in the Indian team, has finally got a chance to debut in international cricket. When Sarfaraz was not included in the international team despite performing brilliantly in domestic cricket, his father’s hopes were dashed.

The third match of the current Test series against England is being played in Rajkot. Meanwhile, Sarfaraz Khan was included in the playing eleven and was also given a chance to debut for Team India.

On Thursday, when Sarfaraz Khan was given the cap for his Test debut, on the other hand, tears of happiness were not stopping from his father’s eyes.

Emotional statement of Sarfaraz Khan’s father

Sarfaraz Khan’s father Naushad Khan looked very emotional during his son’s Test debut. He spoke to Aakash Chopra about his feelings and he poetically replied, ‘Earlier when I used to work hard on Sarfaraz, I used to wonder why my dream doesn’t come true, But after getting the Test cap, my thoughts also changed towards those children who keep working hard. Time is needed for the night to pass, but the sun will not rise as per my wish.”

When Sarfaraz was given the Test debut camp, he reached out to his father and wife, during which all three hugged each other emotionally and tears of happiness were visible in everyone’s eyes. Sarfaraz is the 311th player to debut in Test cricket for India.

Sarfaraz Khan’s father Naushad Khan further said that “When his time comes, things will fall into place automatically. His job was just to work hard, keep building and never lose hope.”

Sarfaraz played a brilliant innings in front of his father by scoring 62 runs in 66 balls in the debut match. Whereas Sarfaraz has scored a lot of runs in domestic cricket.

Sarfaraz Khan said emotionally, “Time and again tears welled up in my eyes thinking about when I would be included in the team. My father just told me to keep working hard, no one will be able to stop you. I think it is very important to have trust and patience.

I dreamed that my India ‘A’ teammates were congratulating me. It is a matter of pride to make a place in the Indian team from such a large population. Even more, I am happy for my father.”
