IND vs ENG : The third Test between India and England (IND vs ENG) will be played in Rajkot on Thursday 15 February. The Indian team has suffered a big setback before the third test match.
Indian team’s star batsman KL Rahul will not be seen in the Indian team. Rahul has been ruled out of the third match due to being unfit. Devdutt Padikkal has been included in the team to compensate for the lack of Rahul.
In the five-match Test series being played between India and England, both the teams are tied at 1-1. Rahul got injured in the first match of this series.
During the first test, Rahul had complained of pain in his right thigh. For this reason, he has been ruled out of the second test match also. BCCI has recently updated that he will not be seen in the third match also.
KL Rahul out from the third test match of IND vs ENG
BCCI has announced the Indian team before the third test match. BCCI has revealed that Rahul has been out of the team from the third test match. BCCI says that Rahul is not 100 percent fit. He could not pass the fitness test. The BCCI medical team has told the selectors that Rahul will have to remain under observation for at least a week. After this, a decision will be taken on his ability to play in the fourth test match. Former Royal Challenger Bangalore opening batsman Devdutt Padikkal has been included in the team in place of KL Rahul.

Devdutt Padikkal is part of the Karnataka team in the ongoing Ranji Trophy. He is a left handed player. He has performed brilliantly in this tournament. He scored 193 runs against Punjab in the opening match of Ranji. After this he played a brilliant inning of 103 runs against Goa. He has scored 556 runs in only six innings. In which he also scored three centuries.
