He emphasized that he has no intentions of reversing this retirement decision, unlike his previous instance where he had briefly tweeted and deleted the retirement announcement. Prior to the Chennai final, Rayudu shared a tweet reflecting on his IPL journey, highlighting his experiences with two prominent teams, the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings.

He mentioned playing 204 matches across 14 seasons, qualifying for 11 playoffs, reaching 8 finals, and clinching fiv IPL trophies. Expressing hope for a sixth trophy, he acknowledged that this tournament has been incredibly rewarding for him. Rayudu first entered the IPL in 2010 with the Mumbai Indians, with whom he secured three titles.
Later, in 2018, he was signed by the Chennai Super Kings. In the current season, Rayudu has amassed 602 runs at an impressive average of 43 in 16 innings for CSK.
