IND vs ENG : The third Test match of the current Test series between India and England (IND vs ENG) is being played at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
In this match, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first. In the first two matches of this series (IND vs ENG), both the teams have tied the match by winning 1-1 match. In the IND vs ENG third test match, both the teams are looking in great form.
Great start for the Indian team
Indian team captain Rohit Sharma played a brilliant century in the first innings by scoring 131 runs in 196 balls. In which he hit a brilliant 14 fours and 3 sixes. Supporting him, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja scored 112 runs in 225 balls. In which he hit 9 fours and 2 sixes.
The same opener batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal was out on 10 runs and Shubman Gill was out on zero. On the other hand, Rajat Patidar was out after scoring 5 runs.
Sarfaraz Khan, who made his debut in the Test match, played an excellent inning and scored 62 runs in 66 balls. Whereas the second wonderful player to debut, Dhruv Jurel, scored 46 runs in 104 balls.
Ashwin (37 runs), Jasprit Bumrah (26 runs) and Kuldeep Yadav (4 runs) also contributed. While Mohammed Siraj contributed by scoring 3 unbeaten runs. In this way, while playing the first innings, the Indian team scored 445 runs in 130.5 overs.
England’s bowlers competed with great strength
England’s bowlers gave a brilliant reply to the Indian team while playing the first innings. Deadly bowler Mark Wood took 4 wickets for 114 runs in 27.5 overs.
While star bowler Rehan Ahmed took 2 wickets for 85 runs in 22 overs. On the other hand, Joe Root, James Anderson and Tom Hartley defeated the Indian team by taking 1-1 wicket.
England’s batsmen made excellent scores
In this test match, England has chased the score while playing the first innings. Opener batsman Jack Crawley was out after scoring 15 runs in 28 balls.
While supporting him, lethal batsman Ben Duckett played a brilliant innings by scoring 153 runs in 151 balls. In which he hit 23 brilliant fours and 2 sky-high sixes.
After that, Ollie Pope scored 39 runs in 55 balls and captain Ben Stokes scored 41 runs in 89 balls, both lost their wickets. Apart from this, not a single player from England could cross the 20-run mark. All the players of England together scored 319 runs in 71.1 overs in their first innings.
Indian bowlers put up an amazing fight
Indian bowlers competed fiercely against England. Indian team’s star bowler Mohammad Siraj took 4 wickets for 84 runs in 21.1 overs. While experienced bowler Kuldeep Yadav took 2 wickets for 77 runs in 18 overs.
Indian team’s star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets for 51 runs in 10 overs. Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah contributed by taking 1-1 wicket. With this India got a lead of 126 runs.
